Quick recap that wasn't really a recap and we're off!
ReplyDeleteStan's gone from Heff to Larry King to man drinking Hulk juice within three films... shame never got to see Lee Hulk!
ReplyDeleteI can't help but feel that briefing might have been more useful if it had also mentioned the fact that he turns into a giant green rage monster.
ReplyDeleteJust realised my 'concern' with this film. After watching the previous three the tonal shift is very noticeable. Feels much more serious and slightly out of place.
ReplyDeleteI like the darker feel, I'm just not sure Edward is up to it in this type of film. RDJ does it better I think.
DeleteHurt and Bridges - pretty much interchangable. Only without the segway.
ReplyDeleteThe look of Norton's Hulk is much nicer than Bana's
ReplyDeleteElite soldier or not, at some point you've gotta be thinking "Y'know...f*** this!"
ReplyDeleteIt's opening flits around a lot less than the others. Crisp but grit looks quite refreshing after the Iron Men.
ReplyDeleteWas that the guy who takes Robyn to the 'space restaurant' in How I Met Your Mother?
ReplyDeleteNice bit of continuity - the super soldier juice being the same colour and all.
ReplyDeleteRetrospective continuity from today's perspective.
Very hands on General Ross, test tubes and everything.
ReplyDeleteConsidering the number of people and amount of kit that went into Cap America's dosing, definite air of botch job to Blonsky's.
ReplyDeleteI expect Blonsky's chiropractor is better than Caps.
DeleteI'm getting me some of them Guatemalan indestructible trousers.
ReplyDeleteLike this Hulk design, really snarky. And the campus fight is brilliant escalation.
ReplyDeleteMen wanna be him, girls wanna change him.
ReplyDeleteGuessing the intention was to have Sterns become The Leader in a sequel. Obviously that didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was... always thought it was a stupid lead-in...
ReplyDeleteHis persistence with the knackered jeep is commendable.
ReplyDelete4th film in a row showing the massive military underpinning to the Marvelverse.
ReplyDeleteHulk drop nicked straight from The Ultimates. Should have stolen more.
ReplyDeleteAll that training with Rickson Gracie and he decides to just run at the guy and jump punch him.
ReplyDeleteBloke in the gunship is a crap shot.
ReplyDeleteAbomination must stab himself in the ribs a lot.
ReplyDeleteAs Marvel fights go, the final Hulk-Abomination one is brutal.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first moment I've rooted for anyone.
ReplyDeleteStop Hulk. He appears to regret his decision to go mental and I'm sure he's willing to sit down for a nice chat and apologise now.
ReplyDeleteAnd at bloody last, a villain survives *Red Skull MIA
ReplyDeleteBanner's exercises are so effective... he turns into Mark Ruffalo.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad thing. He could sell a DVD.
DeleteIt always surprises me how much I enjoy TIH - it's one that gets tarnished by memory for some reason.
ReplyDeleteNice, well made little film, just perhaps a bit bland. The public just really don't want to see a Hulk film... until last year anyway.
