Right - and we're off.
ReplyDeleteI still have no idea how they did the pre-Cap Steve Rogers stuff. I suppose the same way as the hobbits were done.
ReplyDeleteIt's really impressive.to the point of being distracting.
DeleteRandom appearance of Clara.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Dream Lord. It's like a Who casting audition.
ReplyDeleteTommy Lee Jones is awesome
ReplyDeleteI want a spin off with Tommy Lee Jones and Stanley Tucci forced to live together.
DeletePicking Chris Evans was a very clear sign that the Studio don't want the Fantastic Four films to be considered part of the modern movie universe.
ReplyDeleteApparently they offered him the standard 10 or so film deal... and he knocked them down as it was too much! Good sign!
DeleteAlso Project X gets knocked out the park here. Take that Fox.
DeleteNeat that chronologically, the franchise begins with THAT shield and the Tesseract... but they don't half pack in the exposition in the States.
ReplyDeleteI do like Toby Jones - he's a great character actor.
ReplyDeleteWent to this street set when it was filming... in Manchester. Apparently a perfect match for 1940s New York.
ReplyDeleteAnother of the stock superhero acting tools - the I'm changing/been exposed to chemicals/radiation eye open.
ReplyDeleteIt's up there with landing on one knee, other leg bent, fist on the ground.
Why does no-one manage to design machinery capable of being used at 100%?
ReplyDeleteCos you can't have a successful experiment until you've blown up all your circuits.
DeleteWhy did they haver a spare phial?
ReplyDeleteAnd why did he wait until all of the important observers were out of that room before blowing it up?
DeleteHang on...loads of burning cars. I get the Manchester thing now.
ReplyDeleteSee, all the best villains have personal subs, not just Blofeld.
ReplyDeleteArmitage navigates the difficult cyanide acting scene fairly well there...
ReplyDeleteThe senior german officers make me want an 'Allo 'Allo germans cameo. Wher's General Von Klinkerhoffen?
ReplyDeleteThere should be a musical number in every Marvel film.
ReplyDeleteObviously! Who doesn't want the Hulk doing jazz hands?!
DeleteHULK FREESTYLE!
DeleteDrawing skill was an unexpected side effect of the Super Soldier serum...
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell is Stark in Europe?
ReplyDeletePretty sure hitting someone that hard in the face with a shield would make a fair bit of noise.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think enough to rouse suspicion.
DeleteI hope they can work a Howling Commando flashback episode into the new SHIELD show. Neal McDonough is too good to be this wasted.
ReplyDeleteZola just had that "Hang on...am I working for the bad guys?" moment...
ReplyDeleteFlimsy on the inside, those tanks.
ReplyDeleteRed Skulll. Likes his wine.
ReplyDeleteDouble fisted salute...not practical if you're carrying something, like paperwork or...tea...
ReplyDelete"I'm bored of the boring 'wall' shaped guard post to our super secure villain hide-out. Let's change it to a ramp shaped one. That should keep people out"
ReplyDeleteI would not have been too upset if Joe Johnston had got the new Star Wars directing gig.
ReplyDeleteI think I've played this level on Command & Conquer Red Alert.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Die Another Day had some influence.
ReplyDeletePost credits clip!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that's the first time I've watched that since the cinema. Holds up well.
ReplyDeleteAll women want is a man to throw himself on a grenade and not kiss other women.
ReplyDeleteBetter enjoyed than first time, they really got the tone right. ADD good as well. #CA
