Only seen Thor once.
ReplyDeleteAll a bit different to the Asgard of SG1.
ReplyDeleteLovely, ceremonial gold eye patch.
ReplyDeleteRay Stevenson in a fat suit and fake beard looks like Ray Stevenson in a fat suit and fake beard. A bit too much of the Fat Bastard about it.
ReplyDeleteAnother tone change. I mean, Anthony Hopkins, ffs!
ReplyDeleteIce Giants weren't really built for impact fights.
ReplyDelete"And today's drama lesson, act like you're being tasered.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow - tranquilised"
Odinsleep always comes around at the most awkward time.
ReplyDeleteSHIELD Don't really need to get involved here. That they do messes things up.
ReplyDeleteApart from a handful of agents, so far SHIELD really aren't coming across as particularly competent
DeleteRandom bit of slow motion.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favourite women in this...Kat Dennings and Jaimie Alexander.
ReplyDeleteSHIELD...still using pagers.
ReplyDeleteBest score so far I think.
ReplyDeleteIt's very John Williams...definite original Superman parallels.
DeleteEvery now and then 'Thor' takes on an air of 'Galaxy Quest'
ReplyDeleteIdris Elba wasted more in this than Neal McDonough in Cap.
ReplyDeleteSmall town setting seemed odd at the time, but makes better sense in context of The Avengers. Plus it can get proper trashed.
ReplyDeletePretty brave of the frost giants to go to war in the first place knowing that Asgard can destroy them with the bi-frost at any time without actually breaking a sweat.
ReplyDeletePre-Avengers order of preference:
ReplyDeleteIM
Thor
IM2
Cap
Hulk
(All good though)
Loki suitably irritating at the end. Good stuff. Now he's off having tea with the Red Skull.
